Adults, children and infants: how ages are counted

Calbil follows airline and visa practice: infant under 2, child 2 to 11, adult 12 and over. How each traveller type is priced.

The rule

On the travel dates:

  • Infant: under 2 years (on the return date). No seat, no hotel bed.
  • Child: 2 to 11 years.
  • Adult: 12 years and over.

When a message gives ages ("aged 1, 5 and 13"), Fill the form sorts the travellers this way. An infant who turns 2 before the return gets a note: the child fare may apply.

How each type is priced

  • Hotels: rooms = (adults + children) ÷ persons per room, rounded up. The room cost is shared by adults and children; infants pay nothing for the room.
  • Visa: separate adult, child and infant prices (0 = free).
  • Air ticket: child and infant fares; blank means the adult fare.
  • Transport per vehicle: shared by adults and children; infants are free. Vehicles needed come from the seat count.
  • Ziyarat by bus: adult and child prices; infants are free.
  • Vendor packages: adult price per room type, plus child and infant prices.

Markup applies per adult and per child; infants have their own markup in the per-person display.
